Baillie Gifford STEM scholarship for Women

Overview

Five Baillie Gifford STEM scholarships for women are available in the 2025/26 academic year. Applications will be selected based on how well the applicant demonstrates how the scholarship can help them progress on their chosen career path. Other important factors include:

Baillie Gifford is an independent investment partnership founded in Edinburgh in 1908, focused on long-term growth investing in some of the world’s most exciting companies. With 1,684 staff and assets under management of £277bn (of 31 March 2022), it has offices in Edinburgh (HQ), Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, New York, Shanghai, Toronto and Zurich.  Baillie Gifford also supports scholarships for Mental Health Nursing within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Funding available

Scholarship awards of up to £1,500 can be made available to successful applicants. 

Awards are paid in two instalments, one award per academic term.
